Our mission at Press Coffee Food Wine is to create coffee & wine culture in the valley by educating people about our two passions, making connections, and helping the community. Here’s how we do that with our special & unique events…
Wine Tasting
We invite you every Thursday to an intimate gathering at our communal table to learn about a variety of wines from around the world. We offer a flight of 4 wines with appetizers of gourmet cheese, baguette, and basil pesto. We cover the history of the varietals, and an array of useful information such as pairings, in this informal wine tutorial setting. Guests also receive a discount on featured wines. Cost- $15. Cheers! (min 5 guests, max 9)
Wine Sensory Class
With a larger selection and breadth of flavors, this class goes significantly more in depth with the how to’s of tasting wine. Learn about your palate, and how you individually taste and distinguish the flavors within wine. Learn the lingo, with “jammy, full bodied, buttery, crisp” and enjoy an exciting adventure into your own tastes. (min 8, max 15)
Food & Wine Pairing, an Epicurean Dream (coming soon)
Learning to pair food and wine is an art, not a science. It is not true that whites cannot be equal to a steak, and reds to fish. Learn the theory behind pairing, and how to match this with your own way of tasting wine. This is dinner, and dessert plus a variety of wines. Come learn to surprise your guests, and yourself with your wine “match-making” skill. (minimum 8, maximum 20).
Coffee Cupping Class
Think of this as a wine tasting class, but with coffee. Every month, let our Coffee Geek/Roaster Mitch enlighten you with how we roast our coffee, its characteristics, flavors, aromas, and origin. Learn the basics of coffee, such as how to best prepare it, store it, and how long it stays fresh. Usually hosted on Saturday morning, it's a great chance to wake up, and join good friends for some great coffee.
Barista Throw-Down
It’s the ultimate coffee showdown at Press as our baristas compete against other valley baristas in a battle of skill and precision in free form latte art. The public is invited to watch baristas strut their artistic and espresso-pulling skills… and in the end, they get to drink the “works of latte art” for free!
Beer Tasting Class (coming soon)
Enjoy a relaxing evening learning about the different types of beer, and the lengthy and often difficult processes of brewing. We offer a variety of beers and appetizers, to make this an evening that will have you never look at a “brewski” the same way. (minimum 5, Maximum 9)
Gallery Night
Beautiful paintings and photography grace our walls, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. When Press gets new artwork in, we host a gallery night with the artists, so those with an appreciation can enjoy the view and learn about the inspiration and work that goes behind the masterpiece from the artists themselves. Their artwork is also available for purchase.
Live Music at Press
We have live music every week, from single acoustic players to bands, usually on Fridays and Saturday nights. We also host a variety of charity events, with proceeds benefitting valley wide charities. Enjoy some live tunes, and learn about local music culture in the valley.
Open-Mic Night
From live music to poetry readings, share your talent (whatever that may be) with friends, family, and a captive audience. All you have to do for this fun event is show up, sign up, and show off!
Doggie Dine-Outs
There’s no one like our 4-legged best friend, so Press likes to pamper your pooch on the patio with his or her own Doggie Menu. Fido gets a 3-course meal, complete with a Yummy Yappetizer, Growlin’ Good Entrée, and Delicious Doggsert. (offered only on scheduled dates or for a private party, minimum of 20 dogs)
Unique Classes
Part of our mission at Press is to become part of the community through education. So we always create new ideas, as well as welcome them from the community. This summer, we’re helping people get up to speed with the social media trend, by offering Twitter and Facebook classes.
Private Party
Want to schedule a business or casual meeting, birthday party, bridal shower, retail show or any other special occasion? We can accommodate up to 50 guests!! With free wi-fi, and a variety of catering choices, host your next event at Press, and make an “imPRESSion” that will last.
