Press Coffee Roasters

Welcome to Press Coffee Roasters!  The idea of owning a cafe was always a college dream of mine, I spent endless hours studying at coffee houses.  I loved the ambiance, the smell, the food, and the vibe.  For my husband Steve, after being in sales for more than a dozen years, he has always wanted to run his own business.  So naturally, we combined our dreams and made them a reality in November 2008, when we opened Press Coffee Food Wine at CityNorth.  Our concept is a marriage of everything we are passionate about- coffee, food, and wine.  We often get asked how we came up with the name Press.  It was easy- Coffee French Press, Panini Press, Wine Press, and my job working in TV broadcasting, Media Press.  Less than a year later, we expanded our company with Press Coffee Roasters by freshly roasting our own coffee beans daily.  Recently in October 2010, we furthered our dreams and opened our second shop, Press Coffee Roasters at Scottsdale Quarter.

We are extremely passionate about our coffee- we've been voted Best Cup of Coffee by Arizona Foothills Magazine two years in a row and were featured in both Barista Magazine and Sunset Magazine. 

We are not only passionate about roasting and offering incredible coffees, but delicious food, and at City North, fabulous wines and craft beers. We roast our coffee in small batches, with beans that are very carefully sourced and selected. Many that we offer are organic and all are Fair Trade, from countries like Ethiopia, Peru, Costa Rica, Brazil, Sumatra, and Guatemala. Coffee, like wine, is a language best understood through sampling — to really understand how, and where a berry is grown, the temperatures, seasons, and processing it underwent, and the resulting harmony of flavors.

The community we have grown in, is just as important as the communities from which our coffee originates. We host a medley of events- wine tastings, coffee cuppings (like a wine tasting, but for coffee!), live music, art shows, and 3-course doggie dine-outs for Fido.
